2011 Volkswagen Tiguan: a few tweaks

Another redesign that debuted in Geneva is the updated version of the Volkswagen Tiguan, the compact SUV introduced in 2007 in Germany has become the bestseller in its segment. Here is the successor to a successful model that you already know the base price: 24,175 € for the version Trend & Fun 1.4 TSI engine with 122 horsepower, or at the same level as the previous model, despite having benefited from some improvements.

An update stylistic minimized, justified by the fact that the Tiguan, with 527,000 units sold since the fall of 2007, does not need major modifications to extend a success already established: the front has been reviewed and is close to that of the Touareg with two twin chrome bars that define the rest of the range.

Also new headlights with a setting of LED lights while the rear lights incorporate high-tech graphics to those of the Touareg and Passat. Also slightly revised bumper. In practice it has lost the family feeling of the Tiguan range and adapts, if you want to lose a bit 'of his personality.

No official mention as far as engines, which suggests that in terms of technology does not change anything. One could speculate that the 2-liter TDI with 110 hp can be replaced by a cheaper 1.6-liter 105 horsepower to optimize emissions and fuel consumption. But to know it was not until the Geneva Motor Show (3-13 March).
