Abarth and Alfa Romeo at Geneva two sports concept

They run on two new models, rumors that Alfa Romeo and Abarth will present at the next Geneva Motor Show 2011 (3-13 March). The Swiss show may appear on the two super sports made carbon frame borrowed from extreme KTM X-Bow. Is it true? An officer is not anything yet, but there are rumors about a coupe and a spider Alfa Romeo branded all substance for Abarth.

The first should be called 4C, the second uncomfortably a legendary name from the past: 1000. Both, in addition to the frame KTM, have in common ccturbocompresso 1750 4-cylinder engine with direct injection. The coupe Alfa 4C would be credited with 235 hp, the 1000 Abarth would have only 190 because of lighter weight.

We hope it is not just succeed, and yet another return to the past - or attempt to return to the past - trying to strike at the heart of the usual fans. Those legendary cars of the sixties to which they would like to inspire new creations are part of what it was. There is also talk of a possible mass production, but a frame so special - now made mostly of hand by the Austrian - will be difficult to place it on an assembly line.
