ADAC test season tires

The ADAC also tested this year, the summer tires. Here, a more than 22 feet longer stopping distance on wet roads is different differentiates a winner from the rear. In an emergency, the difference between life and health. Nevertheless, motorists can use with twelve "good" and eleven "satisfactory" models, a sufficient choice of tires available to good to come over the summer.

Seven tires show, however - especially on wet roads - so poor performance that we must discourage the purchase of these products. Sun comes as the best 175er tires, the Conti Premium Contact 2, when braking on wet roads after a 58.3 feet to a stop, the Italian Dayton needs to 80.4 meters.

Tires were tested from two size classes, as they come in the middle class such as the Skoda Octavia (195/65 R15V) was used, and a slightly smaller dimension, the Ford Fiesta and the Citroen C2 (175/65 R14T) fits. In addition to the behavior on dry and wet roads, the noise characteristics, fuel consumption and wear were investigated.

In addition, High-speed tests were carried out in the larger dimension two tires (Chengshan and point S) to negative. The point S passed the stringent ADAC test not, the Chengshan was even simpler by the DIN test. Winner in the 195ern was Vredestein Sportrac 3 with a very balanced ride and the best in wet.

At the other end of the 16 tires, there are three low-cost products (Sava intensa hp, Point S Summer Star 2 and Chengshan CSR 66). The Chengshan with extremely low moisture levels shows how poorly these products are designed in part: He has by far the best wear value. In the Sava and at the point S is the weak leadership in the wet side of the reason for the devaluation.

In the smaller dimension of the Conti Premium Contact 2 received from the Uniroyal Rain-Expert the best grades. Again, it was with the Dayton D110 as a "poor" rated tires.
