BMW officially announces it will introduce the new "sub-brand" Monday, February 21. Although details are still jealously hidden, it seems that the new branch of German company will start its commercial activities from the end of 2012, with the "Megacity". We speak of a car about 4 meters built with composite materials to save at least 250 kg in weight compared to a similar steel construction.
Under the hood should finish the driving compartment of ActiveE or something that will match closely the philosophy of operation. Will be very interesting to see how BMW will reduce costs of production and guarantee the customer a final price "accessible" especially in light of the technologies involved.
