BMW ConnectedDrive Vision: futuristic concept

At the Geneva Motor Show BMW will bring a revolutionary concept at the very least, the unexpected ConnectedDrive Vision. Equipped with an explosive style and futuristic technology, aims to be an anticipation of the technical solutions and the look of BMW's future. The smaller Z2 roadster waiting for 2013 could draw its shape.

On the proportions of the classic 2-seater open research center of the Bavarian House of Monaco has woven a very futuristic bodywork, in which design and technology are intertwined and interact. The outline sets out a car smaller than the Z4, vaguely inspired by the legendary Z1 to late 80s.

The wink folding doors, the long hood and the wheels at the four corners of the body. The futuristic surface treatment is an evolution of how much they appreciate the Vision EfficientDynamics Concept last year: the different panels are spread over several layers and materials by defining a "shell" shaped extremely dynamic.

But the most shocking is undoubtedly the front, dominated by a new kidney grille of polygonal shape, which grow horizontally until the two collide with aggressive vertical cuts from which branch off the sides. Down towards them dall'ingombrante presence of the double kidney, the headlights of the elements seem to be of secondary importance.

Viewed from the side, the ConnectedDrive Vision appears to be low and aggressive, thanks to an unexpected groove that projects upward gaze from the profile of the front trunk to tail short and tapering. The latter, very clean, takes up the nose of the T motif, accompanied by an integrated spoiler and two LED lights to form L.

Very interesting interior, which develops the concept to the nth degree "driver oriented" so dear to BMW. The entire cockpit is designed around the driver's seat, while the light's color to the fiber optic medium according to the activated functions. However, the key element of the interfaces ConnectedDrive is the windscreen, which wraps around the cabin and extends until mid-hood.

The head-up display has evolved into a three-dimensional digital dashboard on the windshield that shows multiple layers of information, ordered by importance. The driver therefore has instant access to a wealth of information in real time, keeping in mind that different sensors mounted on all sides of the body constantly monitor the presence of vehicles or people in the surrounding environment.

A passenger can count on a dedicated display, the government through special conductive surface that covers the dashboard.
