BMW M5 brings the concept to Shanghai

BMW plans to introduce a concept of the future M5 at the show in Shanghai, on 21 April. Skip therefore exposure to the Geneva Motor Show (March 1), and instead would be confirmed in the final version of the car at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The decision could be from either a deliberate targeted to Asian markets, on which cars have increasingly unique appeal, and to those who now are known to delay development of the vehicle, which has been running smoothly in the development of the train turntable.

Recall that the new M5 is a sort of step back from the old version, taking place in the 5-liter V10 from 507 hp to a 4.4-liter V8 derived from the twin turbo is already being used in production for the X5 M and X6 M, but boosted to 580 hp. Traction is as always only on the rear wheels, and six-speed manual gearbox with the option of a seven-speed dual-clutch.
