A compact sedan in Jaguar's plans

Jaguar's future plans there would be a compact sedan which should become the rival of the BMW 3 Series and could be called XE. Adrian Hallmark's new general manager of Jaguar, said that the House is considering a compact sports car that could also be brought in sedan. According to the boss, the brand needs of different models but also offered to lower prices: the compact sedan is position behind the XF and could compete well with the BMW 3 series, even with the Audi A4 and A5.

The presence of two versions in this segment would allow Jaguar to create a car of high quality and at the same time reduce costs. Hallmark has indicated that the project is in early stage and that it will take four years or more before any launch. Jaguar had already ventured into the construction of a compact sedan, the X-Type based on the Ford Mondeo which debuted in Europe a decade ago, however, was definitely a model that has failed the expectations of sales.

Hallmark does not want to repeat the same mistake. If Jaguar decided to enter the compact car market has to offer smart cars, advanced technology and competitive prices, and these two models will be crucial to a revival of brand image.
