E10 fuel: ADAC complained trickery at gas stations

The drivers have to make estimated by the ADAC in the launch of the new type of fuel E10 Super prepared for shenanigans of the oil companies. According to information from the Automobile Club will be at various gas stations, which already offer premium gasoline with ten percent ethanol content, sells conventional premium gasoline (Super E5) at prices to super-plus level.

So oil companies do not respect the basic concept of the legislator intended Grandfathering, complained ADAC President Peter Meyer. The Federal Pollution Control Act, which regulates the introduction of super-E10 and the continuance of Super E5 required providers to offer E10 at the same time as the "Super" designated E-5 fuel quality.

A similar provision exists for Super Plus. Under pressure from the ADAC, the introduction of E10 was stopped three years ago, because no such grandfathering was provided and millions of car drivers whose vehicles are not fit for the E10 mode, the Super Plus would have to dodge. (Ampnet / jri)
