Ford lowers consumption of Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy

Ford offers for the Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy a new and more efficient access to diesel. The 1.6-liter engine delivers 85 kW / 115 hp and develops a maximum torque of 270 Newton meters. It makes for EU standard consumption of an average of 4.9 liters and 5.2 liters for the Mondeo S-Max and Galaxy, which have a start-stop system.

Also new for spring, Ford offers the 2.2-liter diesel with the alternative of Durashift-6-tronic automatic transmission, which also has a sports program. The new diesel engine replaces the previous, the same 2.0-liter version. The torque of 270 Nm is constant at 1750-2500 revolutions per minute.

The new Ford Mondeo Econetic cut an additional aerodynamic package, which lowered suspension and low rolling resistance tires and the start-stop function of the average consumption even once for an additional 0.6 liters to 4.3 liters per 100 kilometers. The carbon dioxide emissions fall from 129 grams per kilometer to 114 g / km.

Even the 1.6-liter EcoBoost petrol engine with its 118 kW / 160 hp as standard features in spring for a start-stop automatic reduction in fuel consumption. Thus, the standard consumption to fall to 6.4 liters (Mondeo) and 6.8 liters (S-Max) and 7.2 liters (Galaxy) per 100 kilometers. (Ampnet / jri)
