Giugiaro, "Marchionne man of finance, not product"

In an event related to the automotive world, the designer Giugiaro has made some comments on Sergio Marchionne and the world of four wheels. In other words: it is right to keep an eye on the accounts and financial transactions, but should also consider the philosophy of the car.

"The latter - he said - they must win customers with their competitiveness, with their qualities and emotions that can generate: those who buy do not care if the product is made in China, Poland or in Turin, but wants to have something valuable. " As for the Fiat, a company that has been linked to Double-Giugiaro wire from the age of 17 when he was hired, founder of Italdesign believes that it is too Americanized, thus losing its typical characteristics of Italian know-how.

"The target of selling 6 million cars a year - more - is plausible. But the Italian-American group has to get down to earth, healthy and competitive products." Despite its Italdesign, in May 2010, was purchased by the Volkswagen group, has admitted Giugiaro always cheer for the Italian group.
