The Jaguar E-Type celebrates its 50th anniversary at the Geneva Motor Show 2011

It was far away March 15, 1961 when the Geneva Motor Show was presented with the Jaguar E-Type, a certain Mr. Enzo Ferrari did not hesitate to call "the most beautiful car ever built." The Jaguar E-Type celebrates its 50th anniversary at its 2011 Geneva Motor Show, which opens its doors on March 1 to March 3 press and the public.

Jaguar has organized a series of events to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of his E-Type, and at the Geneva Motor Show there will be a zone dedicated to the historic cars. In summer, the Festival of Speed, held from 30 June to 3 July at the Silverstone Classic, July 22 to 24, at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, August 21, and at the Nurburgring Old Timer Grand Prix, from 12 to August 14, will celebrate its Jaguar E-Type with a lot of action at issue.

The Jaguar E-Type of 1961 shows an interior with a compact and modern design. Designed by Malcolm Sayer, the E-Type still remains a current car, despite its 50 years. A witness to the fact that we remember his originality of the Jaguar E-Type is exposed to the permanent exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

The E-Type was produced in 70 thousand units, and many of them are owned by actors and familiar faces that have made it a real status symbol.
