Jaguar XKR-S in Geneva with 550 hp

Jaguar present on the occasion of the expected 2011 Geneva Motor Show (3-13 March), the XKR-S version with vitamins "appreciation of the fascinating British coupe dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the legendary E-Type" of 1961, also known as Jaguar XK-E. "The XKR-S model is a bold and exciting time for Jaguar." Said Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar Global Brand Director, about the new model, which also adds: "We expect to attract both the faithful fans of the brand new Jaguar fans thanks to the qualities of sportsmanship and amenities that only a Jaguar can offer.

" The XKR-S comes with a new aerodynamic layout at first glance that betrays the enormous potential of the car. The front bumper for a new fascia that incorporates a carbon fiber splitter and two large slots positioned in front of the arch, designed to cool the "hot spirits" of the braking front.

The bonnet benefits from a new series of air vents, while the queue is popped a big spoiler designed to increase - along with air extractor - the car's aerodynamic downforce. Driven by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 increased to 550 hp and 680 Nm of torque, the Jaguar XKR-S is the most powerful series of all time, setting a new benchmark for luxury and sportsmanship among coaches made in England.

According to industry data released by the House of Coventry, with these numbers, the XKR-S gets over the wall of 300 km / h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 4.4 seconds. But the new "baby" Jaguar is not just pure performance, in fact according to the technical English, the XKR-S sets new standards of responsiveness and driveability.

The credit goes to the new aluminum used to make the body which gives the car greater agility and lower emissions because of the excellent 300g/km CO2, the new reference value for this type of vehicle. Other new features include the suspension system that sports a brand new system created specifically for the "S" version: the new pattern of springs and shock absorbers significantly increases the stability and speed of entry in the corners of the car, thanks to the new calibration of the device Adaptive Dynamics, which has been reprogrammed to be less invasive in the extreme driving.

More details and final price of the XKR-S will be announced at the fair in Switzerland, where the English House will also organize a series of celebratory events dedicated to the E-Type, including a display of cars and a series of test drives to be held at Parc des Eaux Vives in Geneva, where 50 years ago, was presented the first copy of "E".
