Lancia Thema: Night Shift

27 years after the submission of the first generation at the Turin Show, the Lancia Thema back among us and does it in grand style, to relaunch the brand in Turin after the flop registered by Thesis. Just a few days and finally you will see at the Geneva Motor Show (3-13 March) At the base of the new flagship is the latest generation of the Chrysler 300 of which resembles a long, distinguished by the front shield and a few other details.

The measures are to be true flagship: 5084 mm long, 1,507 mm in height, width of 1,891 mm and wheelbase of 3051. The body has the same chrome finish of the American sister, as well as headlamps with LED lights. The interior will be more marked and as being written in the press release (for now Lance has released one image of the outside) there will be interior trim quality and the ability to have heated seats in leather, upholstered in Poltrona Frau leather dashboard , wood trim and more, so that we can compete with German rivals.

The new infotainment system UConnect will have its hub in the large 8.4-inch touchscreen that dominates the dashboard. At the start of marketing, scheduled for next October, there will be three engines, all 6-cylinder and equipped with automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive (to the delight of purists).

The petrol V6 will be the Pentastar's 3.6-liter 292-hp with 8-speed automatic transmission, which can reach a top speed of 230 km / h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.2 seconds and 199 g / km of CO2 emissions and combined fuel consumption of 8.3 l/100km. The two are both of the Diesel 3-liter V6 with a power of 190 hp or 224, both with 5-speed automatic transmission.

There will be the big Hemi V8 of 5.7 liters and 360 hp, but we hope that in future they can still get more powerful engines and bad, along with smaller engines but are capable of providing good performance.
