Maserati 2011: Production in Turin

As we all know, in recent days took place at Palazzo Chigi, a meeting between the government and Fiat, meeting where we discussed not only the historical mark in Turin, but it was also announced a major investment on the future of the brand Maserati . It was decided to convert the former factory Bertone in Grugliasco (Turin), the production of the new Maserati model home, to make this historic conversion has been allocated € 600 million.

This new funding towards Maserati was not planned for the models currently being built in Modena, then going to add up to € 1.3 billion allocated to the Fiat plant in Mirafiori. The historic home in Modena Maserati will remain active, so the new plant which will be activated in Grugliasco, near Turin, will most likely intended solely for the production of the new sedan segment E, known by the nickname of "baby Quattroporte, which should see light in 2012.

Paradoxically, the meeting was held between the government and Fiat, the weekend just passed, did not lead to a definitive answer on the question central location and underlying cause of the meeting between the Executive and Marchionne, that is, the headquarters of Fiat, will or not in Turin?
