Maserati: a piece of Trident will go to Turin

The meeting between the heads of Fiat and the government, in addition to defining the future plans of the company, has clarified the fate of the former Bertone in Grugliasco plant, owned by Fiat: here, with an investment of 600 million euro, will be produced Maserati model. Could therefore be confirmed the fears which arise just a year ago, the 600 employees of the Trident, who feared the move of any company where the shadow of the Mole is one of the most modern painting systems in Europe.

It is here that, when fully implemented, could work a thousand employees currently in layoffs. For the moment, however, the workers who work in Emilia can rest assured: a Grugliasco will the assembly of a single model, it being understood that the bulk of production and offices will remain in Modena.

Here the company has been present since 1924, but is not currently able to produce at the pace demanded by the market around the world. To emphasize this uncertainty is Maurizio Landini, general secretary of the union Fiom, who laments the lack of a business plan for Maserati in Emilia Romagna.

For the day today is, however, will be a meeting between Marchionne and Productive Activities Commission of the House, where (hopefully) will provide further details on the fate of the Trident.
