McLaren started the production of the MP4-12C

E 'last game of the production of the McLaren MP4-12C, the supercar of Woking, which marks the return of the super manufacturer in the segment of road, left empty by the far 1998 with the disappearance of the legendary McLaren F1. The MP4-12C is made entirely from the English House in the new facility McLaren Producion Centre located near the historic headquarters in Woking.

Nell'avveniristico industrial site cost about EUR 50 million are produced components, powertrain and chassis, the revolutionary "single cell" developed by the Italian Claudio Santoni, built completely in carbon fiber that gives the car a significant reduction in body weight, while torsional rigidity is doubled compared to a traditional aluminum frame.

As mentioned above, also the heart of the MP4 was designed and built without any outside help: it is a compact 3.8-liter 32-valve V12, with double overhead camshafts and variable valve timing VVT head supported by a twin turbocharger with intercooler capable of delivering a maximum power of 600 hp and 800 Nm of torque available over between 3500 and 7000 rpm (80% at just 2,000 rpm), which translate into a recovery and an enjoyable driving at low speeds similar to that of a sports sedan.

The performance of this incredible sports car are: the maximum speed under optimal conditions exceeded 320 km / h, while 0 to 200 km / h shooting is burned in less than 10 seconds, thanks to the excellent dual-clutch sequential gearbox SSG (Seamless Shift Gearbox) 7 speed. The speed of this change, like a competition, can be controlled exclusively by the paddle positioned behind the steering wheel, from which you can adjust the setting to 5 different modes depending on the driving needs of the moment.

The English sports will be produced at a rate of 1,000 per year to be sold by 35 dealers official McLaren around the world. In Italy it will be sold at a price of € 201,680 at the single site McLaren Italian Store in Milan in Corso Sempione and managed by the Group Fassina. The first units will be delivered in May, but who is willing to buy it - allowing portfolio - you better hurry because waiting times are estimated to be about one year and may be even higher if you want to customize the car to your liking.
