In January 2011, the current Ford Fiesta in sales in Europe has exceeded the one-million mark. The small car had come from Cologne in October 2008 in Europe in the trade. Worldwide, Ford could sell this model is now 1.149 million vehicles. The Ford Fiesta will be built at the Cologne plant, Ford Werke GmbH, in Valencia, Spain.
Adding together all the sales since the launch of the first Fiesta in 1976, then the little one with about 14 million shares of Europe's best selling small car. In the U.S., recently came to the awards of the current Fiesta, the Institute of Traffic Safety awarded the insurer classified as "Top Safety Pick" to do so.
This award from the Fiesta, was recently awarded the first under the new, stricter standards tested vehicle in its class by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). (Ampnet / Sm)
