The new Ford Ranger arrive in Geneva

The new generation Ford Ranger will be presented at the next Geneva Motor Show, and have two turbodiesel engines of 150 hp and 200 hp respectively. Arrive in showrooms during 2012. Ford has unveiled one of its new products for the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, to be none other than the new generation Ford Ranger, which share a platform with the Mazda BT50.

The new Ford Ranger will have dimensions greater than the previous, with a wheelbase of 3,220 mm and a track width of 1,560 mm it is their front and rear. Cargo capacity is also growing in the double cab version, and now has 1.21 meters cubic. Another measure of the highlights will be the clearance to the ground, which stands at the new Ranger in 232 mm.

In the section of Ford Ranger gives the two new mechanics turbodiesel. The first one has 2.2 liters and 150 hp, with maximum torque of 38.27 Nm, while the second one is 3.2 liters, and has a 200 hp with maximum torque of 47.96 mkg. There is also talk of a possible gasoline version 2.5 liters and 166 hp for some markets but so far Ford has not confirmed anything about it.

Depending on the version chosen, the new Ford Ranger will have front-or all-wheel drive, with the latter gearbox. Besides these, the new Ford Ranger has some novelties, such as the presence of ESP, rear view camera, Adaptive Load Control (a system that takes into account the amount of charge taken) or a roll control system trailer.
