New Kia Rio

During the Geneva Motor Show (3-13 March) Kia Rio will present the third generation hatchback sedan expected to be available from September and equipped with the new 2.1 turbo petrol engine. Designed by former Audi Peter Schreyer pencil at the center of European-style alter ego of the Hyundai i20 (many common components, from the platform), the new Korean B-segment is more than 5.5 cm long compared to the previous generation, 2.5 cm wider and 1.5 cm lower for a longer wheelbase of no less than 7 cm.

The renovated size (4.04 × 1.72 × 1.45 Meters) have allowed the construction of a more spacious interior and large, can accommodate five passengers giving them a greater sense of quality because of new fabrics and new plastics. The boot measures 292 liters instead. For the European market, the engine range will be formed from 1.1 diesel (70 hp) and 1.2 turbo dall'inedito Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI), available from early 2012.

Later units will debut with more powerful and fuel supply, but no motor park and will be less polluting (85 g / km CO2) as the 1.1. As said, the new Kia Rio will be on sale from September 2011, followed a few months after the three-door version with bodywork.
