New winter tires Nokian WR

The first is to be a viable alternative for the family car of medium and small size and affordability alert motorists. The second one is optimized for size and power more cars, with a specific behavior on the road and sport. Are respectively the Nokian WR Nokian WR D3 and A3, the two last news about winter tires launched homonymous Finnish manufacturer.

The D3 takes a compound consisting of a combination of rapeseed oil, natural rubber and silica that optimizes the seal on wet winter and resistance to deterioration in the presence of very low temperatures. The use of rapeseed oil in particular has allowed us to optimize the tensile strength and grip on ice and snow.

The WR D3 also adopts the so-called "mud blocks" (Slush Blower) refusing mud and water, pushing them out of the grooves of the tire. Coverage Nokian WR A3 instead is characterized by asymmetrical inside-outside, the shape of the inner shoulder, which simplifies the removal of water and wet snow.

The structure of the tire - called Cap & Base - is provided at the bottom with a layer of reinforcement on the basic nano. That relies on small molecules that enhance the guidance and control during cornering, the lane-changing maneuvers and waste. In addition, says the manufacturer, reduces heat production, threatening the tire, as well as rolling resistance decreases.

Available from specialist dealers in autumn 2011, the new tires will have measures between 13 and 20 inches for the speed classes from T to W (from 190 to 270 km / h).
