Pagani Huayra, 700-horsepower supercar

Powerful, fast, very advanced. The new Pagani Huayra - the name is the god of the wind blowing the Andes - is all this together, a supercar performance combined with a high-level components and a design that stands comparison with any other supercar in circulation . To put up the rest, it took five years during which designers, technicians, engineers and testers have worked in collaboration with leading partner for the last creature to life by Horacio Pagani that he wanted to premiere in Milan, by Pirelli, a few days ahead of official debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

The throbbing heart of Huayra - which takes the place of the previous Zonda - is obviously the twin-turbo V12 engine developed by the racing division of Mercedes, AMG (code M158). This is an innovative 6-liter petrol engine with double charge and be able to download the floor 700 horsepower, for a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm stated performance needless to say are exciting.

There are no numbers on the top speed that will surely exceed plenty to 320 km / h, but the acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h announced below the threshold of 2 seconds. Given the power and torque of the motor, the obvious choice of a sequential-type automatic transmission - dual-clutch 7-speed and 96 kg of weight - on a car that we remember him weigh only 1,350 kg dry well balanced (44% to 'front and 56% at the rear).

Finally, great attention to the bodywork and aerodynamics designed to the tiniest detail to offer unprecedented performance racing thanks to a component provided by specialized brands such as Brembo (which has developed the brake system) and Bosch (who developed systems for ABS, ESP and TCS).

The price, of course, for the chosen few would be around the round figure of € 1 million for a production limited to only 10-15 per year.
