Pagani Zonda: unhurt after crash at 320 km / h on motorways

Destroying a Pagani Zonda after a spin on the highway at 320 km / h and remain unscathed. The amazing "miracle" happened two nights ago when, on the A10 Genoa-Ventimiglia height of Spotorno, a Pagani Zonda in 2007 with Monaco license plate lost control and rolled over. The supercar Emilia commercial value of € 1.2 million, of which a few days at the Geneva Motor Show 2011 will be presented to the heir Huayra Pagani, take the highway to the Ligurian breakneck speed of 320 km / h before entering into a spin.

The car is on the guard-rail carom losing a wheel and rolled over, occupying the middle of the road, colliding with another car at the same time, before ending its run on the opposite guardrail. The driver of the Zonda, a German boy of 28 years and the passenger, a Lithuanian of 21, emerged unscathed from the cockpit are surrounded by the wreckage.

The other motorist involved was traveling in a Mercedes, has instead given only a few bruises. To have had the worst of it was the Zonda and after an incident is totally destroyed, practically thrown away. The police arrived on the ground have made the finds of the case and proceeded with the withdrawal of the license to the reckless driver.

Unfortunately this is only the latest of many incidents of mad rush at the wheel that are followed on the highway Liguria, mistaken by many for a full-scale racetrack. Police, Carabinieri and can do very little against foreign-registered cars who break rules and limits, given the difficulty of delivering cross-border traffic fines, due to a lack of European legislation on the matter.

The workshop of San Cesario sul Panaro (MO), which produces the Zonda, building cars tailored to individual customers, virtually every Pagan is a unique model: even so the already high price of EUR 1.2 million can be easily exceeded. Recall that the Pagani Zonda is equipped with an engine from 7.2 liters and 678 hp AMG Mercedes signed, able to push it to a top speed of 340 km / h and it squirt from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.5 seconds, performance almost similar to a fireball racing.

The whole structure of the supercar is made of carbon fiber, a material very light, but at the same time one of the strongest in the world. Probably thanks to the presence of this precious material, combined with luck, the two boys were able to escape unharmed from the accident.
