Peugeot 308 2011: restyling and technology

Restyling for the new Peugeot 308, which will have its world premiere at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show and has also evolved at the technical level by launching the innovative micro-hybrid technology and the HDi engine 1.6-liter HDi FAP Euro 5 112 hp combined with automated manual transmission and, for the first time, the manual transmission.

The emissions of this engine with automatic gearbox are 98 g / km. Engineers attached to the micro-hybrid powertrain for other ways to optimize emissions as the mass reduction of about 25 kg, the use of low rolling resistance tires and an cx of 0.28 for the versions with low power consumption, value registering a record in its segment.

The four petrol engines are between 98 and 200 of the GTi, and four diesel from 93 to 163 horses. All with 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic and on some setups. With regard to the aesthetic dimensions are the same as the previous model even though the design of the bottom of the shield visually widens the car body.

This incorporates the new LED headlights (daytime running lights and position) boomerang-shaped headlights with Xenon directional dynamic. The front hood of the V has been redesigned and features a new grille with the logo suspended. The style is enhanced by the side window area, which follows the line of degrading body, and the panoramic windscreen that goes on the rear side pillars.

Also new are 16-inch alloy wheels or 17-inch, diamond-effect, or even 18-inch Storm gray tone for the GTi. The latter varies depending on the version, that sedan, CC and SW, but for all that enhances the dynamic lines characterize the restyled 2011. Updated the interior with quality materials and a variety of outfits, most wanted GTi version.

The colors are eleven with three new colors: blue storm, blue and Philae Terre d'ombre. Marketing in Europe will start from April.
