PSA thinks the return of the SIMCA

The market for low cost is becoming increasingly important and strategic for the car manufacturers, so as to induce them to brush marks forgotten for years. It 's the case of SIMCA (Société Industrielle de Mécanique et Garage Automobile), French company founded in 1935, passed through the hands of Chrysler, whose brand is now owned by the PSA Group which closed its doors almost 30 years ago while continuing to market until the late '80s.

The French group would be planning to market low cost models using SIMCA own brand, as made by Dacia Renault. Just the RTT is taken as an example of Peugeot-Citroen, worried by the huge success of the Romanian brand. The first of the reborn SIMCA model could be revised edition of 1307, Car of the Year 1976.

PSA has not released any information about future plans for industrial SIMCA, nor can the year of return. However, we are confident that we will not have to wait long. The French can not afford to waste time and ground to competitors.
