E 'sign dellaFord started in the 2011 World Rally Championship, the season marked the downsizing that has as protagonists the new Citroen DS-3 and the new Ford Fiesta designed for road racing. The latter appeared quite at ease on Swedish roads, winning the first three places in the rally to open the season.
On the top step of the podium went Hirvonen which preceded a combative Ostberg and consistent Latvala. The more opaque the performance of Citroen who have grabbed only topping up with Ogier positions, Petter Solberg and Loeb. These three pilots came, respectively, fourth, fifth and sixth and have fallen short of expectations before, especially with regard to the world champion in office who has not been as competitive as usual.
Encouraging the race diKimi Raikkonenche ended in eighth place on the traveling at close to the cannibal Alsatian. Citroen now has the opportunity to rebuild on March 3, Mexico, when it will stage the next race.
