Soon be on display at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show (3-13 March), the Capture inaugurates a new form of crossover that mixes the components of a vehicle at high center of gravity with those of a compact coupe with a fully removable hard top.

The futuristic design of this inventive concept sprang from the pencil of the Dutch designer Laurens van den Acker, who has decided to revisit key SUV in the vein style inaugurated by another of his creation: the coupe Dezir concept, presented at the last Paris Motor Show. 4.22 meters long, 1.95 wide and 1.58 high, the Capture has a 2 +2 cockpit has a wheelbase of 2.62 meters.

Characterized by a bright orange color, the crossover French stands for the impressive curved front, the side view is dominated by large 22-inch alloy wheels and arched doorways that offer spectacular vertical opening. The rear view deserves a separate discussion, since its very original form characterized by a very small rear window and a large air extractor which lasts until the middle of the trunk, while the LED headlamps that extend up the sides, creating a spectacular light show.

The interiors take up the bright colors of the exterior, displaying numerous solutions show car represented by the wraparound dash back lit, as the three-spoke steering wheel positioned in front of the digital dashboard. Singular seats made with bungee cords in sight, always orange, which is also found in the space for luggage, this time to fix the various objects.

Capture the Concept is not just a nice exercise in style, but also brings with it a good dose of innovative technology represented dall'inedito 1.6-liter dCi diesel engine equipped with twin turbocharging and coupled to a dual-clutch transmission. Despite its compact size, this engine delivers 160 hp and 380 Nm of torque can propel the car at a speed of 210 km / h and snap it from 0 to 100 km / h in just 8 seconds.

Really reduced data (declared) for the pollutant emissions that are equal to 99 g / km C02. The good performance of performance and exhaust emissions have been made possible thanks to 1300 kg in weight, obtained by avoiding the use of four-wheel drive, which will not make up a sophisticated mechanical limited slip differential that distributes torque between the two wheels of ' axis.
