RUF: Electric Porsche 997 early in testing

At the Geneva Motor Show 2011 will be presented, as announced, the Porsche Boxter And Porsche prototype electric house, and a few days of this announcement, came the disclosure by the RUF, which relate to the same willingness to develop new models zero emissions. The projects seem to be as ambitious as that of Porsche, in fact, according to rumors, Ruf would set up its own array of electric Porsche 997, who will face a series of tests on the road, working with the German government and Siemens.

The specimens for testing electric Porsche will be three, all on a Porsche 997 and all engines with a different, the first with a single speed electric motor with battery and range from 29 kWh to 150 km. The second Porsche use two engines, always electric, housed in the rear of the car with automatic transmission from the double ratios, more rear-wheel drive, capable of delivering 335 horsepower, with 36.6 kWh batteries and 200 km range.

The third car instead, is similar in all respects to the second, except for two drives (one for each engine), allowing the vehicle to transmit power to the wheels in different ways, able to push an electric Porsche 997 maximum speed of 180 km / h. The RUF has reported that at least one of the three electric Porsche 997, will be on display March 3 to 13 at the Geneva Motor Show 2011.
