Saab News for Geneva

Like all Saab brands will take the rest in the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, where we first saw the new image of the Saab 9-3 Griffin and Independence Edition Special Edition, available in convertible body. Geneva is just around the corner, and now Saab will unveil their weapons to one of the most important events of the year in the automotive world.

There the Swedish brand will unveil the new Saab 9-3 Griffin and special series of the same model "Independence Edition." The latter comes to celebrate the first anniversary of the Swedish brand outside the realm of General Motors. This Independence Edition Saab 9-3 Aero and the finishing has a unique orange color.

Each of the 366 units for sale will have specific items such as alloy wheels, 18 inches, various carbon fiber details, mixing leather upholstery beige and orange tones and a T exclusive. As for the engines that will incorporate this Independence Edition will be three, the 220 hp 2.0i Turbo, 2.0i Turbo BioPower the same power and 180 hp 1.9 TTiD.

As for the Saab 9-3 Griffin is concerned, several modifications to appreciate an aesthetic that affect mainly the front bumper. Besides the logo "Griffin" will be visible on the sides of the vehicle. The interior of this model is also reworked, with new instrumentation and tones renovated.

The customer can also choose from two different finishes, standard and Aero. The range of engines consisting of the 2.0i Turbo with 163 or 220 hp, the 1.9 TiD with 130 or 160 hp and the 180 hp 1.9 TTiD disappears V6 version. The rest are mechanical improvements are seen to reduce both fuel consumption and emissions.

As an option, may be incorporated in some of the engines and automatic transmissions XWD all-wheel drive systems. Both models will go on sale in spring, but for now we can not confirm their prices.
