Seat Alhambra 4x4: full and dynamic

Will arrive next summer, the new entry in the range of Seat Alhambra that with four-wheel drive SUV gets a more flexible and dynamic. We'll see, however, already at Geneva. The all-wheel drive, electronically controlled latest generation is able to adapt the division of power by transferring the power to the rear wheels in slippery situations.

The key element of the system is electronically controlled hydraulic clutch to which there are strips in oil that are compressed by hydraulic pressure regulated, and driving conditions are constantly monitored by the ECU. If the front wheels lose grip rings an electric pump to increase oil pressure and thus the clutch transmits a fraction of a second much of the driving force behind the rear wheels.

The engine is the 2-liter TDI with 140 hp 6-speed manual transmission: With a top speed of 191 km / h Seat Alhambra 4x4 accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 11.4 seconds with fuel consumption of 6 liters per 100 km and CO2 emissions of 158 g / km, still being given approval. The efficiency is also due thanks to the energy recovery system and the automatic start / stop in the package Ecomotive.

Concern for the environment is confirmed by the adoption of SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction). Offered in two versions, Reference and Style, the Alhambra 4x4 five-seater but towards the end of the year will also be available the version with six seats in three rows with seats arranged 2 +2 +2 pattern.
