Smart Forspeed Concept

New photos in high resolution for Smart Forspeed Concept: the car, as well as act as a green alternative for urban mobility, which foreshadows some of the design themes found on the third generation of the Fortwo. In truth there is a lot 'of the past of the young German mark, the absence of pillars and the little flap in front glass recall the original Crossblade.

It remains the Tridion safety cell, production workhorse of Smart. A radical change are the headlights, which have a more circular desin with those two eyes that seem to stretch out on the side, more muscular than before. The circular pattern of light clusters is consistent with the rear lights now on individual item.

The lighting systems are all full-led. Of course this concept, so to see it, it seems very influenced by a famous Italian utility, but for which there say the name ... oh well No, I say: Fiat 500. The interior is characterized by a certain simplicity of style, that in some architectures seems to wink at the Mini.

Before the eyes of the driver and passenger are circular instruments with guidance information is to entertain. The upholstery is of course proof of rain. Obviously many of these solutions are, and remain on the show car and most likely will not end on the final car. The Forspeed Concept uses a 40 hp electric motor positioned at the rear, which has 7 more hp when it required auxiliary pushing the already mentioned overboost.

Smart said a range of 135 km for a maximum speed of 120 km / h. The 0-60 mph is instead covered in 5.5 seconds. The car is equipped with a lithium-ion rechargeable battery from 16.5 kWh in any 220-volt wall outlet. In just 45 minutes the battery will charge 80%. A solar panel is installed on the front baffle: it can help recharge the battery and food-compatible devices such as I-Phone and I-Pod.

Why this emphasis on these systems? For it is through them that the Forspeed Concept is connected to the network and the navigation system. The car is based on a DA18 wheels' with 205/35 front and 235/30 rear tires.
