A special auction for Monster Telethon

A Ducati Monster 696, signed by Valentino Rossi will be auctioned on the platform "eBay Classic" in the "motion". The bike, donated by Ducati, was precisely customized, with the signature on the cover of the shell from Valentino national, entered this year in the MotoGP team of Bologna motorcycle manufacturer.

The moment of the signing took place during the first test at Sepang circuit on pitches in Malaysia. The money collected will be donated to the Telethon Foundation to fund research into genetic diseases. The Ducati Monster, which was launched in 1992 and whose design is characterized from the lines and forms, has become an icon of Italian style.

In 2008, the Monster 696 has acquired a new look more muscular and attractive. With its 80 horsepower at 9000 rpm the engine is the one with the best specific power of all Ducati air-cooled engines, while the low weight of 163 kg makes it the lightest bike in its category. The chassis is inspired by the Ducati Corse department, while a new clutch which drastically reduces the effort required to pull the lever for easy and comfortable driving.

The bike has a slipper system prevents locking the rear wheel climbing more aggressive sport driving, while the brake system with dual front disc is sized to that of a supercar.
