Supreme: no to street trees

A ruling of the Supreme Court has condemned the Anas to compensate the family of a motorist died following the crash of his car into a tree located on the edge of a highway. The ruling by the Supreme Court set a precedent binding on all courts of Italy, which from now on - in case of appeal - must be considered outlaws all the trees that are less than 6 meters from the Italian roads.

A ruling bomb, since there are hundreds of miles of road on the edge rows of trees not up to standard, which will now be secured by the operator of the road network of the peninsula. How? With the installation of guard rail or, if less than desired, with the demolition of the plant. The Supreme Court, in its ruling related to an accident occurring on state road 75 "Central umbra", was based on Article 26 of the Regulation entered into force on 1 January 1993, which prohibited the presence of trees less than 6 meters from side of the road: the norm, so far, not retroactive and therefore does not seem to refer to the existing trees (most), but only to those planted from now on.

A full 17 years later, finally, has made clear on this issue and it was stated that the rule covers all tall trees found along the country roads of Italy.
