Volkswagen Tiguan restyling, the first images

Volkswagen ahead of its time and publish the first official pictures of the Tiguan restyling, or the updating of the appreciated middle-aged German SUV will have its world premiere at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show (3-13 March). The main changes involve the crossover Teutonic focus primarily on the completely restyled according to the stylistic inaugurated by sister Touareg.

In particular, the new grille design is embellished with four chrome trim, while the unusual square-shaped light clusters incorporating LED lighting system along the crown. The rear view was almost unchanged, the only note of relief comes from earning the rear lights LED lights in the shape of "L", borrowed from the Golf VI.

For the edition 2012 of the Tiguan will be available two types of forms: Track & Field and Sport & Style, distinguishable by the different shape of the front bumper, which in the case of T & F "is protected by a steel plate and it dug in to improve the angle of attack off-road. Volkswagen would anticipate the market in spring of the new Tiguan, due to the strong demand that has seen existing stocks of the previous model in a few weeks.

The restyling Volkswagen Tiguan will be available for the German market at a starting price of 24,175 € on the version 1.4-liter TSI Trend & Fun from 122 hp.
