ADAC: E5 protection places now around eight cents more expensive than E10

According to information from the E5-ADAC fuel at most gas stations are now being sold by about eight cents per liter more expensive than the new Super E10. This price differential is in view of the actual product cost of the two species completely unacceptable, criticized the club. The ADAC therefore calls on the oil companies, not for the approximately three million drivers whose vehicles E10 tolerated for technical reasons to hold up an affordable premium fuel as an alternative E5.

This was also the central purpose of grandfathering. Supposedly missing tanks or other logistical problems, according to the Automobile Club does not serve as justification, especially since these arguments in the introduction of new premium varieties not included. According to the club, the strategy of oil companies to provide consumers an affordable Super E5 withhold as grandfathering failed.

Despite the artificial increase in the cost of the E5-fuels to eight cents, compared with E10 fill up many drivers of uncertainty, the more expensive product. This has even led to shortages of E5. The ADAC expects the E5 fuel prices and the now looming shortages will inevitably lead to super-E5 is imported from abroad.

By the petroleum industry now announced improved information for motorists to E10 was long overdue, says the ADAC. He is on the Internet at www. ADAC. de/e10 for quite some time answers to the questions many motorists to the new fuel. Currently, the car drivers in Germany for E10 premium gasoline pay on average € 1.533 - compared to the previous week, an increase of 3.2 cents.

Diesel increased in price by 3.4 cents to an average of 1.413 €. (Ampnet / jri)
