Alfa Romeo 4C, in Geneva to make us dream

The hope that Alfa Romeo 4C Concept comes into production is really great. Not so much the volume of sales (which will never be six digits, maybe even five), but rather to hoist the Italian flag in an important niche for the return of image. A little 'what they have already done the 8C Competizione and 8C Spider: Confirm that the brand of the world knows how beautiful Alfa Romeo cars with quality content.

And then it would be another uncompromising sports car, unmistakably Italian design, yet we know from mechanics that create art. Compared to the powerful 8C, Alfa 4C has that attitude of "toy" that would tease the young. Those who, so to speak, have very bad in the Lotus garage and never say no when you can heat - and eat - the tires on the track.

We should not underestimate either the positive feedback that the new Alfa Romeo sports would get beyond our borders. Where, perhaps even more than in Italy, are still imprinted in the memory of the legendary Giulia GTA, or even further back, the glorious and Giulia Giulietta Zagato in the early sixties.

But there is more time Amarcord. The men of the Fiat Group continues to repeat it. Although, nice contradiction, ultimately only serve to propose names of the past for models over the years that were no longer anything in common. Some examples? Lancia Thema and Flavia made in Chrysler, the very last of Alfa Giulietta ...

So we are to exclaim: "Welcome 4C. It would be nice to add, she's not the bad end that made the extraordinary Lancia Fulvia concept presented in 2003 and then disappeared from circulation in a hurry. After the eulogies, a stoccatina a shame that the 4C, with that carbon frame of the KTM, although developed by Dallara, is not 100% Alfa Romeo.

Okay, you have to deal with the costs required by a similar construction, but what added value would have been? At the time of the competitions "real" where the Alpha triumphed (DTM, ITC, Super Touring ...) carbon frames came from Italian workshops ... But, again, still have the right marketing people Fiat to most motorists today these "details" do not care anymore.
