Aston Martin Virage Volante, the official video

The Aston Martin Virage was one of the pleasant surprises that brought us the Geneva Motor Show this year. Technically, 4-door coupe derived from the rapids, the new Virage echoes the philosophy of the DB9 that for now, alongside price, declining to GT 2 +2 concept of high performance in both closed and open.

Powered by a powerful 12-cylinder 6-liter, 497 hp, is capable of reaching 300 km / h after accelerated from a standstill to 100 km / h in just 4.6 seconds. After seeing her at the show and having admired the Swiss official gallery of the two models, Aston Martin finally released an official video, in which we see a brand new Virage Volante roll through the mountains of Andalusia.

Very refined and classic style of British supercar quest'inedita undoubtedly collect a lot of success. The body is a very balanced synthesis between the muscular forms of the DBS and DB9 and the tapering of rapids, so faithful to the stylistic features of the mark to banish any flicker of originality.

The designers have done a chisel work to refine an established style in the perfect proportions. With the same passion for the tradition of the House have been working engineers, who have not upset the well-known aluminum VH platform to a transaxle. The automatic transmission is a Touchtronic II evolved into soft and shifting speed, while the chassis benefits from the DDA, an active damping system settable on up to 10 different configurations, more or less sports.

Significant is also the braking system, with carbon-ceramic discs with 6-piston calipers front and four behind.
