The Classics Department in the Audi Tradition is vintage 2011 season to over 30 events with their "rolling museum" represented. After two years break, the Mille Miglia in Italy is back on the program. DKW five historical models from the 1950s, will campaign in May on the way to northern Italy. Prior to this, Audi Tradition presented at the Techno Classica in Essen.
Of 30 March to 3 April meeting in the exhibition halls at the Gruga back over 160 000 professionals and lovers of vintage cars. The Ingolstadt-based car manufacturer in this case shows exhibits from the NSU, DKW and Audi-history course. At the Mille Miglia in Italy is represented by five DKW Audi models in the 1950s.
There are over 375 vintage cars to the start expected to Rome (12 to 14 May). Goodwood Festival of Speed in England (July 1 to 3) 160 000 visitors are expected. There is a tradition with the Audi Auto Union Silver Arrow Type C and Type D, which won the first English Grand Prix in 1937 and 1938 in Donington Park to represent.
Also at the start is a DKW motorcycle racing team from the war. "125 Years of the Automobile" will be on 7 and 8 May at the "Car Summer 2011" in Baden-Württemberg celebrated. With around 40 vehicles from its own corporate history, Audi will continue with a parade through Stuttgart. In addition, the department of history first appears on the Kitzbüheler Alps Rally.
Five of 25 vehicles to 28 May, the Austrian mountains to address. After 2010, when Audi tradition had participated in years at the Classic Grand Prix Schottenring with pre-war DKW racing motorcycles, one is again this year in Hesse it. 2011 DKW-war machines from the 1950s will be shown and driven.
After a long break this year is again the classic cars rally, the "Creme 21" on the program. Of 21 to 25 September, NSU TT and Audi go 50 at the start. Audi Tradition will be present at other established classic car events. These include the Silvretta Classic (7 to 10 July), Ennstal Classic (13 to 16 July), Sachsen Classic (18 to 20 August), Eifel Classic (September 29-October 1) and Gran Premio Nuvolari in Italy (15th to 18th September).
And of course, historic vehicles from the company's history are also at the start, move out when our own front door the old-timers. For example, Audi is lacking neither in the Danube at Ingolstadt Classic (16 to 18 June) nor in the Historic Heidelberg, which is also at the Audi Forum in Neckarsulm make maintenance (28 to 30 July).
