Brabus Widestar 800: 800 horsepower from a Class G

Presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2011, 800 Widestar of Brabus - made on the 'steel "Mercedes G-Class AMG - epitomizes the philosophy of extreme tuning in which he has used the famous German computer characterized by aerodynamic showy, luxurious interior and more powerful turbocharged engines suitable for a racing car than an SUV hard and pure.

The 4x4 of the House of Stella, true to its classic line squared off for more than 40 years, but refined over time, after treatment of the workshop is presented Teutonic "incattivito" by a number of aesthetic devices. Among the most important changes stand out the new LED lights that adorn the front, the many details made of carbon fiber aerodynamic, the unpublished drains made of stainless steel and finally the special set of alloy wheels matched with low profile tires and available in sizes ranging from 20 to 23 inches.

Enter the carrier's "Widestar" means taking a dip in luxury and opulence more exaggerated. The skin completely covers the interior: it starts from blacks seats adorned with the symbol of the manufacturer of Bottrop embossed on the headrests, door trim through the floor and completely covered by fine material embellished with stitching in a diamond shape.

Particular emphasis was given to entertainment for the occupants to enjoy a complete multimedia system with MP3-CD player and satellite TV with built-in DVD, all combined with two monitors embedded behind the front headrests. The real "Raison d'etre" of the car, however, is under the hood of the mighty Gelandenwagen, transformed by a Brabus car capable of intimidating to many noble sport.

The already powerful 5.2-liter V8 engine made by Mercedes AMG division has been completely distorted in its structure and therefore also in the values \u200b\u200bof maximum power and torque. The displacement of the engine was increased to a height of 6.3 liters by adding a 4-cylinder, and thus arriving at a split of 12 cylinders, always willing to V.

Finally, I added two turbochargers aided by a new management of the electronic control unit that helped the German tuner to reach the peak of 800 hp and 1,100 Nm of torque. The fury of these horses is expressed in a 0 to 100 km / h in just 4 seconds, while top speed touches 240 km / h. The stability of the heavy separate chassis is provided by a new lowered suspension and sophisticated electronically controlled air suspension, while the braking system has been replaced with new discs from 380 mm to 345 mm for the front and rear.
