Electric cars in Italy are just 4%

Increasingly, TV shows about cars driven by electric motors powered by alternative fuels and environmentally friendly. Similarly, information on the topic of green cars is more complete, which would lead to assume a wide use of them on the streets of the boot. We were wrong! For two years now, the percentage of electric cars and those using alternative fuels is still AL4%.

Blatantly obvious, that hardly explains the interest of the media would seem to belie the numerous proclamations and institutions (in terms of incentives and promotion) and car manufacturers (in terms of production and development for the future). The figure emerges from an analysis conducted by insurance.

it on the basis of over a half million requests for quotes submitted by users on its site over the past three months. Although it is now clear that 40% dell'inquinamentourbano comes from private transport, eco-friendly cars are still poorly purchased. Firstly because of the scarcity in the choice of models, which have not yet played the market well, leaving ample white space, and secondly for the costs of buying, which for the electric car average was € 35,000.

Two reasons that lead the Italians to give up the green, in contrast to what happens in other European countries where incentives contribute to a wider spread on the roads. So little to say on the Italian market, which is also lagging in terms of the capillary network of supply, not only now but also without almost no serious plans for expansion (which are present in other European countries).
