What is the fault of the Libyan crisis, or a depreciation of the euro, it does not matter. It is a fact that the cost of gasoline has reached in recent weeks to say the least, astronomical levels, even higher than 2008, when crude cost even more. Abundantly exceeded the critical threshold of 1.50 euro for a liter of super, you get even to touch on some pumps € 1.60 per liter for the green.
With such a picture in front of motorists have two options: give up the car waiting for better times or get to the hunting of the pump that offers the best price. In this sense, a hand is the so-called white pumps, unbranded or low-cost, whatever you want, which are able to guarantee a price slightly lower than the peaks recorded in most of the distribution network.
From Abruzzo Campania, Lazio Emilia Romagna, Lombardy and Piedmont is not going to miss the Italian region where there is a number of white pumps (some are more numerous than in others less so, here's an updated list to 13 February) that allow you to save a few cents per liter. While on the one hand the majority of motorists will find the best solution for industry, the other on the issue inflames the high cost of gasoline, with managers seeking a return to administered prices.
Proposal which seems at the moment, has not been rejected by the Minister of Economic Development Paul Roman, who said: "There is no dogma about prices and excise duties," implying that every option is possible. But is it really all because of the crisis in Libya? According to insiders, the situation is only partially responsible for the Libyan and is explained by the quality of Libyan crude oil treated by the Italian refineries.
These in fact are designed to handle that type of oil (very light), and is today no longer involves the need to seek an alternative on the market compatible, raising the final cost. That said, the price of crude oil and gasoline at the pump to travel on two different tracks and even influence each other are not updated as frequently.
