Fisker Karma, produced the first copy

After three years from the first official appearance at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2008, Fisker has produced the first example of Karma. The innovative and waiting sedan-coupe hybrid plant of Valmat EREV is made in Finland, where in 2011 it will be assembled around 7000, while deliveries to the first lucky customers will start from next month.

The Fisker Karma series still retains many aesthetics and technology that we have noticed in the early prototypes, such as the large 22-inch alloy wheels and the futuristic roof with solar panels built. Long almost 5 feet (4.996 m) wide, almost 2 meters (1.96 m) high and 1.33 the good Karma conceals its generous measures through a sinuous line and sport which gives it sporty and elegant at the same time.

The wheelbase of 3.16 meters offers plenty of space more than the lucky passengers who are accommodated in a luxurious environment, characterized by high quality materials. All the interior is completely covered with two-tone leather, while some details are embellished with wood inlays.

The center console, clean design and straightforward, is dominated by a large touch screen from which you can control the main functions of the car as a navigation system and the installation of air conditioning system, all without the help of buttons or levers any kind. The instrument panel consists of two circular screens and a display control unit becomes fully digital.

The mechanical part is ideally similar to that of Ampera, and is based on two electric motors capable of delivering 402 hp and 1300 Nm of torque, while the thermal engine 264 hp 2.0-liter turbo, Opel source, is used as a generator to power two electric motors. In stealth mode, or using only the electric motors powered by lithium batteries from 20 kwh, the Karma has 80 km of autonomy, while using the internal combustion engine to get to 480 km, consuming on average only 2.4 liters of fuel per 100 km.

In Sport mode, the abundant discharged cavalry on the rear wheels can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 5.9 seconds and top speed to the threshold of 200 km / h. The Karma is sold in the U.S. at a price of $ 95,900, $ 88,400, which become due to incentives bestowed by the North American state.

In Italy, the Fisker Karma will be distributed from Treviso, managed by the concessionaire "Mattarollo Cars" to a starting price of 95,000 € to 115,000 € who come to the top of the range construction called "Eco Chic."
