Geneva 2011: Chevrolet Aveo notchback shows for the family

Chevrolet shows in Geneva on the open to the public from tomorrow Motor Show (-13.3.2011) as the European premiere of the sedan version of the Aveo. With the 4.40 meter-long sedan intended primarily to families and thus a slightly different group of customers as mentioned in the hatchback. The luggage compartment volume of 502 liters is one of the largest in the small car segment.

Viewed from the front, the design of the flow and the notchback model is characterized by distinctive twin headlights, a split grille and a taut line leadership. Particularly striking is the rising shoulder line of the sedan, which gives the new four-door an appealing profile. In the slightly flared wheel arches are found up to 17 inch wheels.

A focal point in the interior is modeled on a motorcycle instrument panel that combines an analog rev counter with digital speedometer and warning lights. The petrol engines are offered with 1.2-liter and 51 kW / 70 PS, 63 kW / 86 hp, 1.4-liter and 74 kW / 100 PS and 1.6-liter displacement and 85 kW / 115 PS.

First, there is also the Aveo with a 1.3-liter diesel engine in two versions (55 kW / 75 PS and 70 kW / 95 hp) and with start / stop system. Chevrolet's first six-speed automatic transmission for small cars is available for the Aveo 1.6-liter, manual transmission is offered depending on engine variant with five or six courses.
