The car, developed in recent months by the Swedish Vizualtech, engineering firm headed by designer Bo Zolland, and with the collaboration of freelance designer Robert Palm, after being unveiled in recent weeks in its main lines, now seems poised in a production process, intended to materialize in 2012.
The "merit" in this case, it is the desire of a Swiss collector, who commissioned the creation of this Vizualtech Coupee nostalgic retro-style two-seater. Indeed, that is clearly inspired by the Jaguar E, one of the models - the symbol of the English House, which at the Geneva Motor Show this year celebrates 50 years.
We do not know if this event has been the idea behind the project Growler And in any case, it is a marginal aspect of the story. The arguments are to be found in most greedy choice of lines, in the refinement of a project in itself unique, which is inspired by one of the most famous cars in history and at the same time, wants to renew the proposal, a result difficult to achieve.
Indeed, on closer analysis, the design takes as its point of reference not only the Jaguar E, however, the dominant style (from the front air intake to the queue), but also other models of the most famous traditional Jaguar sports : from the XK120 to the latest coupe. As for materials, Vizualtech indicated that the body will be achieved through the use of composite materials and designed to be attached to a frame structure, which includes a central carbon and two mounts (front and back) in pylon tubes, designed to support the powertrain (engine, gearbox, transmission), suspension and steering.
A solution that is inspired by the Sport Prototype cars of the chassis technology. The mechanism is one that equips the XKR, which means that, under the bonnet in carbon, will place the 5-liter V8 the most powerful coupe in Coventry, supercharged, which - appropriately revised - will increase the power of 18% from 510 to over 600 hp.
Thus developed, the car - according to the same Vizualtech - triggered from 0 to 100 in less than 4 seconds.
