Kia will offer a sport version of the new Rio, thus confirming the preliminary collected before the launch of the new model. The same Benny Oeyen marketing Kia said that such a model will help propel the Korean brand, especially in the European market where the composition of the sports segment B are always appreciated.
The classic 3-door sport will be the most logical option, even if you do not miss the 5-door, but they are not even body coupe and cabriolet based on the platform of Rio, as reported by MotorAuthority. Technically, the most logical choice would be to use the 1.6 140 hp direct injection just launched the Hyundai Veloster combined with the dual-clutch gearbox, but is not excluded the possibility of a 150-hp version of the 1.7 CRDi diesel, a choice on which probably also will weigh the development of sales of gasoline than the next-generation diesel.
