The Lancia Thema in the words of Olivier Francois

That the group Fiat Lancia Thema on the very points for the revival of the historic brand founded by Vincenzo Lancia is not a mystery, although the first views of fans gathered on the Web are not entirely flattering to the new Italian saloon, apparently because of excessive similarity, both aesthetically and in content, with the Chrysler 300C to the parent.

So, in defense of the Lancia flagship, talked the CEO of Chrysler, Lancia, Olivier Francois, who did not hide the very high expectations that the leaders feed on this model: "You should not criticize the new cars that no one has tried yet. Who will lead the new Thema understand that will be the best of any segment E.

Competition in Europe and America to Launch Chrysler will be to Audi, BMW and Lexus. " Phrases, however, were more or less pronounced for other models of the past, and was often disappointed by the findings on the market. It is therefore natural to wonder where does all this security and the French manager was happy to clarify: "If our cars are good quality, excellent performance and so much more technology and are less expensive than its competitors because customers should not be taken into account? ".

A thought entirely logical and acceptable to Francois, but the doubt remains tied to the lack of Italian Thema, in which the CEO's answer: "The 300C is the best car we've done in America. And we would not have offered as Thema had they not had a look Italian. " There is therefore no gap between the Thema and the rest of the production Lancia, while the latter an Italian style, although the public seems to think otherwise.

According to Francois synergies with Chrysler will bring "new life to Launch", leaving to understand that, at least in the eyes of top Fiat, a collaboration between the two brands with related exchange of technologies and platforms may only be beneficial to their offerings. What is certain is that these synergies have enabled the introduction of the range of the Italian flagship development costs very low.

But the product is up to the brand that bears on the hood? As always, the market will decide.
