Lancia Voyager: incoming truck version?

In the new Lancia range has just been presented at the Geneva Italian elegance of the past has given way to U.S. vehicles rebranded. The new Lancia Grand Voyager is nothing more than the Chrysler namesake brand with the logo of Turin, while the Lancia Thema sedan of the past in name only, the rest are from America (Chrysler 300).

Although the purists of the brand will stay twisting the nose, it must be remembered that the industrial synergies within the Group Chrysler have helped create from scratch a whole range of models (flagship SUV and soon midsize sedan), a range that would otherwise would not be possible to develop in such a short time.

But at this point could be a daring challenge: since the USA has just introduced the Dodge RamCargo (the commercial version of the Dodge Voyager) is that in a little 'we are left with a shiny new vehicle sales Lancia? If today the challenge of the above may seem only that, just go back in time to remember that in reality the House Chiavassa has already dedicated to commercial vehicles.

Among the various models of trucks and vans manufactured up to the sixties is distinguished the Lancia Jolly, marketed since 1959 with an engine of 1090 cm3. This is an elegant light commercial vehicle (now rare) made on the basis of the Flavia saloon, which was inspired by the shape of the front grille, which itself has a more vertical development.

Certainly if the operation was redone today, the basis would be less noble: it's like comparing the Flavia Sixties American pragmatism all the Dodge Ram?
