Lexus will present at the show in New York, the LF-Gh, a prototype that will advance the next generation of the GS sedan. Details are still scanty and more information will come only during the month of April, when the concept will be unveiled. According to Autocar, the fourth generation of the GS share a large part of the frame and mechanics with the new generation IS, waiting at the end of 2012, albeit with a longer wheelbase to free up space in the cockpit, thus confirming previous advances that we had collected in recent days.
Moreover, the arrival of the small range in CT 200h will allow a small increase in size to the IS, which is likely to propose in a 4-cylinder hybrid range, while the GS will be reserved for the higher performance 6-cylinder engine with advanced versions than the current 3-liter and 3.5 liter hybrid GS 300 and GS 450h, renovated with a slight facelift in 2009.
