Mercedes will debut in 2014, BLS

The second sedan-coupe Mercedes, the sister of the CLS, could debut in 2014. The BLS, this is its hypothetical name, will have the central role, in terms of sales volume, expand the supply of low-lying areas in the range of the Star: based on the MF, the innovative front-wheel drive platform of the future Class B The BLS will be (along with a compact crossover) one of many models "fancy" that will accrue.

The date of the debut is still some way off, and therefore the details of the model are still scarce. What seems likely is its close stylistic derivation from F 800 Style, dynamic concept car shown at Geneva by Stella 2010. Under the dress, the model could take a range of engines result of agreements reached last year with the giant Renault-Nissan.

The offer should include modern 1.4, 1.8 and 2.0 turbo petrol and two diesel, probably a 1.6 appreciation 2.1 four-cylinder Mercedes. Other new techniques will not miss a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and especially a hybrid variant: the MFA platform was designed from the outset to accommodate a drive label of this type.
