Mitsubishi: very few differences for the various markets and-Compact

As we have said from the Geneva Motor Show, the Mitsubishi Concept Global Small clear prelude to a little world of B-segment car which will replace the Colt and even overcome it and, above all in terms of underlying concepts. The prototype will create a model based on a new platform, called e-Compact and designed to go into production in early 2012.

The new model, which will be produced in a factory in Thailand is currently under construction, will be a truly global implementation. Very few differences that separate the cars allocated to the various continents, it will detail how the different settings of the engines to comply with emissions laws in force in different countries, the range of colors and fabrics for interiors.

The utility-based e-Compact will have a very important role in terms of reducing average emissions across Mitsubishi's range: by 2020 the Japanese manufacturer wants to cut 50% of its current CO2 emissions. For this reason, the new engines will be very little clean: you can choose between two new petrol 1.0 and 1.2 liters with start & stop and regenerative braking, and will also further an all-electric variant.
