The Pope will convert to the electric car

The electric car has won over Pope Benedict XVI. After the U.S. president, Barack Obama, and after many other politicians around the world (sometimes only to give themselves an image environmentalist ...) here is that the zero-emission vehicles have conquered the heart of the Pontiff, who has formally requested to be equipped with a popemobile with zero emissions.

At the bottom of the road that will run such a vehicle is quite limited, since it will only serve to move among the faithful in St. Peter's Square. The problem, however, is not easy to solve since the papal armored car, combined with poor recovery of electric vehicles, would make the popemobile unsafe in case of emergency.

The previous and current Fiat Campagnola Mercedes ML (W163 series) under construction eMercedes specific G-Class engines are rather traditional, powerful enough to move the tons of armor with a good agility. But you can bet that the engineers are working hard to create this "zero emissions" in order to help make the Vatican the first state carbon-free world.
